Nini Baseema works as corporate communications consultant during her day time, after work hours she likes to balance her oftenwise unstimulating job in the corporate world with being creative: She is a passionate bellydancer (and teacher), she loves and collects all kinds of music, writes for several art blogs, enjoys to sketch and paint and spends an enormous amount of time with her cameras, shooting all kinds of interesting subjects - most preferably herself.
To characterize her style is as difficult as to pidgeonhole her personality. Nothing illustrates her urge for versatility better than her own recent project "one selfportrait a day for a year" in which she has set herself the task of creating something personal for 365 days in 2011.
Her complete series "Talking Hands" can be seen in the flickr set:
Just as you can find more works of her in her general flickr page too:
All selfportraits can be seen and followed via tumblr:
Nini Baseema's work appears in the IMAGE issue of Status Hat (September, 2011).
