Spring is finally here and we bring you three more music entries to Status Hat, for our "Dialogue" issue (April, 2010).
First, the sensuous sounds of SWEET TOOTH take us on a verbal journey of observations of love. We all have our own sweet tooth and the silky vocals of Fleurtini get us in touch with why we love music, smooth, tasteful and more romantic than any box of chocolates. We really commend their sound, an amazing update of a lasting style! And they are busy -- releasing a new album & videos (one of which can be seen below!).
On another end of the spectrum, or maybe one of their very own, are THE MINTS OF IDAHO. Whacky, crazy fun, the Mints call it like it is, it's Magic Man! An anatomy lesson in punk electronica from some young lasses from Germany, the world needs more people with a sense of humor and adventure like them.
Last, with nary a word CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH communicates with us through the dialogue of her piano. A striking composer and player, Sogni d'Oro seems as if it fills the gap between verbage, as if almost like a movie soundtrack bridging between the said and the unspoken. Lovely!

Everybody Wants To Be In Love
ABOUT SWEET TOOTH
"Imagine if David Lynch had discovered a time machine with the dial stuck on 1950 and decided to send a Soho nightclub back through it. Then listen to Sweet Tooth. Led by the striking presence and pipes of Fleurtini, Sweet Tooth sound like the soundtrack to 'Mulholland Drive' fed through the slink-o-meter and set to 'caress'." Big Cheese magazine
Sweet Tooth is a London-based duo consisting of chanteuse Fleurtini and producer Gavin Hammond. Their sound is an elegant but lethal cocktail of film-noir jazz, underground electronica and retro guitar pop.
Without missing a beat, they combine electro-swing, 1950s lounge, Brixton dub, Hollywood glamour, comic book culture, kitsch sci-fi soundtracks and East London alternative rock.
Their debut album, Wow & Flutter, has just been completed, along with a Frank Miller-inspired video for the first single, Everybody Wants To Be In Love (out now on iTunes), which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-_jnasBhtE

ABOUT CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH
A little about myself - I was born in the West Country in 1978, and have been living and composing in Bath, Somerset for the last 10 years. I am influenced by both contemporary & classical music - Jenkins/Mozart/Einaudi - Nick Cave/Kate Bush...... Jazz/Easy listening etc. I have five piano suites under my belt, these include one suite &
storyboard designed for animation. Sogni d'Oro comes from a suite called The Garden. I also dabble in orchestrated pieces but mostly for piano, but like most people have a misc pile of music just waiting to find a home!
I am unsigned and am looking for agent/management not so much with performance but with composition & writing. My other passions include art, wine & travel. My favourite places on this earth are Bath, Prague & Venice. My influences in Art are quite an eclectic bunch! Mucha/Ryder/Lowry/Moore/Turner.... Everything from the chocolate box paintings of Gainsborough to Picasso's cubism!
