WORKS BY CRISHA YANTIS
Crisha Yantis uses clay to create characters and environments. Her installation “Organic Recycling” (pictured below) brings into being a strange and pristine laboratory in which bones and liquids, among other items, are being categorized, preserved, sampled and otherwise made to be understood. Of her work, Crisha says, “I wish to capture an idea, concept, way of thinking, in hopes this will help me recognize the thoughts and patterns I've learned from my view in this world and possibly break, chew up, digest ideas, mistaken beliefs, prejudices, realities.” Find out more about Crisha in our guest artist catalog or on her website. - Mojie Crigler, Editor
