You can now get paid £40 an hour to sunbathe – and you get free garden furniture

With temperatures in the UK reaching a stifling 27 degrees this week, Brits will undoubtedly be basking in the sun, working on their tan whilst they can.

But now, you can get paid for the privilege.

A gardening and review website, named Whatshed.co.uk, is looking for five people to test out its garden furniture whilst lounging in the sun – and they’re paid a whopping £40 an hour to do so.

The successful applicant will be asked to review the company’s upcoming garden products like sun loungers, parasols, cushions and more for a month, rating each item’s comfort, style, practicality and overall value.

In return for working five hours a week, Whatshed.co.uk will pay £40 an hour, as well as cover expenses for ‘sunbathing essentials’, such as suncream, food and beverages, to ensure each candidate is ‘comfortable’ whilst working.

The company has stipulated that safety is a priority, therefore individuals will be required to wear factor 50 sun cream at all times whilst working, which must be reapplied a minimum of every two hours.

Candidates must also work for no longer than three hours across an entire day.

You don’t need any specific qualifications for the role, but the advertisement states that applicants “must be living in the UK, be over the age of 18 and have access to a garden or outdoor space with good sun exposure”.

However, due to the “unpredictability of the weather, “the company have said that if it’s raining, the working hours can be delayed and the period of employability will be extended.

But don’t hang around – you only have until June 11 to apply.

Kate Fromings from Whatshed.co.uk, said: “We are always looking to improve our products and have a few exciting things in the pipeline, so we thought why not take advantage of the upcoming heat wave and put our products to the ultimate test.

“In my opinion, there is nothing better than relaxing in the sun, so we’re expecting a lot of people to apply to be a part of our Parasol Patrol team.

“If you think you could be a great judge on what makes the best garden products and fancy soaking up the sun, please get in touch!”

What’re you waiting for?!
